PureMelt B12 Folate contains a combination of activated vitamin B12, as methylcobalamin, and Metafolin L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate  (L-5-MTHF), the naturally occurring, universally metabolized  form of folate. This formula is offered in a unique, great-tasting fruit-flavoured lozenge designed to dissolve in the mouth without requiring water.

Uses for PureMelt B12 Folate

Cellular Health: Optimal levels of folate and vitamin B12 have been associated with cellular, cardiovascular, neurological and immune health. Folate is provided in this formula as Metafolin L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (L-5-MTHF). L-5-MTHF is the predominant, naturally occurring form of folate in food. Through bypassing several enzymatic activation steps, it is directly usable by the body and provides all of the benefits of folic acid regardless of functional or genetic variations. In a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled intervention study of 144 women of child-bearing age, L-5-MTHF supplementation resulted in a greater accumulation of L-5-MTHF in red blood cells than equimolar doses of folic acid. Folate and methylcobalamin provide methyl groups involved in the methylation pathway, a key regulator of genetic expression and cellular function. Healthy methylation is vital for cellular health and energy metabolism.

HOW TO USE

  • Recommended Use: Helps to form red blood cells. Help in energy metabolism in the body. 
  • Recommended Dose: Adults: Take 1 lozenge daily, with or between meals or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. Allow lozenge to dissolve in mouth and swallow.
