How do postbiotics work?

The immune system relies on the compounds produced by friendly bacteria in the microbiome to regulate the immune response. Postbiotics contain these same bioactive compounds to help activate the immune response, even if our microbiome function is disrupted.

Like a prebiotic, a postbiotic feeds your friendly bacteria. Unlike a prebiotic, whose fibres need to be broken down before being consumed, postbiotics have pre-converted nutrients (like butyric acids and other short-chain fatty acids) that are ready-to-use energy sources for your gut bacteria.

Known as quorum sensing, strains talk using signal proteins, which help them coordinate beneficial activity, like preventing bad bacteria from colonizing your gut. Recommended Use

Post-Biotik Immunobiotics help support and maintain immune function. Helps reduce the incidence of cold-like symptoms.

Directions

Adults: Take one (1) capsule per day or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. Take at least 2-3 hours before or after antibiotics.

Cautions

As with any natural health product, you should consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use especially if you have a fever, vomiting, bloody diarrhea or severe abdominal pain. Stop use and consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms of digestive upset (e.g. diarrhea) occur, worsen and/or persists beyond 3 days. Do not use if seal is broken. Keep out of reach of children.

Known Adverse Reactions

Do not use this product if you have a milk allergy.

Contraindications

Do not use this product if you have an immune-compromised condition (e.g. AIDS, lymphoma, patients undergoing long-term corticosteroid treatment).
