The Ceramic Pre-filter — the first stage of filtration for the Gravity Water System — removes large-sized particles and contaminants from tap water. Constructed from highly compressed and fired diatomaceous earth with a pore size of 0.3 of a micron, this pre-filter removes rust, sediments, bacteria, germs and parasites.

The smallest microplastics found in tap water are approximately 2.5 microns; the Ceramic Pre-filter eliminates particles greater than 0.3 micron size
