Licorice Root 470 mg 100 Capsules

Traditionally used in herbal medicine as an expectorant to help relieve chest complaints, such as catarrhs, coughs, and bronchitis. Also used to help relieve inflammatory conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, such as gastritis in adults.

Licorice has long been used for both culinary and medical purposes. Used for flavouring and sweetening candies and medical remedies, licorice also has other potent effects, particularly for ulcers and adrenal insufficiencies. Whole licorice is used for cases of adrenal insufficiencies and inflammation. Another more widely used form is the deglycyrrhizinated one, which is as effective as whole licorice in its ulcer-treating properties, but without any hypertensive side effects.

HOW TO USE - Adults : Take 1–2 capsules twice daily or as directed by your health-care practitioner.

CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS : Consult a health-care practitioner for use beyond 4–6 weeks, or if symptoms persist or worsen. Consult a health-care practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or have a liver disorder.

CONTRAINDICATIONS : Do not use if you have hypokalemia, high blood pressure, or a kidney or cardiovascular disorder; or if you are taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives or other medication which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance.

• Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) root and stolon 470 mg

OTHER INGREDIENTS: Vegetable magnesium stearate in a non‑GMO vegetable capsule composed of vegetable carbohydrate gum and purified water.
