Maca Extract 750 mg, 90 Veg Capsules

Maca (Lepidium meyenii) is grown at high elevations in the Andes region of central Peru. It has been traditionally used for centuries as a food source and as a general energy tonic. More recent scientific data suggest that gelatinized Maca may help to support healthy sexual activity and fertility for men. The raw Maca root material is certified organic, but the veg capsule is not certified organic, therfore the entire finished product is not certified organic. Gelatinization is a process that removes starch from Maca to yield a more concentrated product. Gelatinized does not refer to “gelatin” and no animal-derived ingredients are incorporated into this process.

DIRECTIONS

Adult Dosage: Take 2 capsules twice per day. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 3 months.

Organic Raw Maca Root (6:1 Concentrate) 750 mg

   (Lepidium meyenii) (Gelatinized – Vegetarian)*

   *Equivalent to 4500 mg of fresh Maca Root

Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Veg Capsule (hypromellose, water), Hyprolose, Silica, Magnesium Stearate (vegetable source).

Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking anticoagulants, blood thinners, anti-depressants, stimulants, oral contraceptives, if you have hypertension or hormone sensitive cancers (ie. breast or prostate cancer). Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or if you are allergic to maca or other members of the Brassicaceae family (eg. broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, and cauliflower). Large amounts of maca may cause bloating or flatulence. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have high blood pressure or suffer from any psychological disorder and/or condition such as frequent anxiety or depression.
