Pancreatin is a combination of digestive enzymes normally produced by the pancreas and are important in the digestion of fats, proteins, and sugars.
Pancreatin is used to replace digestive enzymes when the pancreas does not produce enough on its own. Certain medical conditions can cause this lack of enzymes. New Roots Herbal’s Pancreatin are GPS™ enteric-coated for protection from harsh stomach acid.
HOW TO USE - Adults: Take 1 capsule two to four times daily with food or as directed by your health-care practitioner. Take with or immediately before a meal/food. Swallow whole; do not crush or chew. Consult a health-care practitioner for use beyond 4 weeks or for prolonged use. Use the smallest effective dose which controls symptoms.
CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS : Discontinue use and consult a health-care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Consult a health-care practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or breast-feeding; if you have pancreatitis, pancreatic exocrine insufficiency, or cystic fibrosis; or if you have diabetes.
CONTRAINDICATIONS : Do not use if you are sensitive to pancreatic enzymes or to pork proteins.
KNOWN ADVERSE REACTIONS: Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain/epigastric pain and/or heartburn have been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use and consult a health-care practitioner.
WARNING: Do not take if you have intestinal ulcers or any form of inflammatory bowel disease.
* Store in a tightly closed, light-resistant container in a cool, dry place. Do not use if seal is broken. Keep out of reach of children.
INGREDIENTS - Each enteric-coated capsule contains:
- Pancreatic enzymes 4× (from pork [Sus scrofa]) 4× concentrate 325 mg
Providing:
- Amylase activity 32,500 USP units
- Protease activity 32,500 USP units
- Lipase activity 2,600 USP units
OTHER INGREDIENTS: A non‑GMO vegetable capsule composed of vegetable carbohydrate gum, purified water, and a water-based enteric coating.
CONTAINS NO : Gluten, soy, wheat, eggs, dairy, yeast, citrus, preservatives, artificial flavour or colour, or sugar.
