Raspberry leaves contain fragarine (a tonic for the uterus), tannins (likely responsible for the antinauseant, antivomiting, and astringent effects of this plant), polypeptides, and ellagic acid. Also, the leaves are a rich source of iron citrate which is the alterative, blood-making, astringent, and contractile agent for the female’s reproductive area. Leaves are astringent, stimulant, digestive, tonic, alterative, parturient, hemostatic, antiemetic, cathartic, and antiseptic.

HOW TO USE - Adults : For use as an astringent for diarrhea: Take 6 capsules two or three times daily or as directed by your health-care practitioner. Adult women—For use as a uterine tonic: Take 6 capsules three times daily or as directed by your health-care practitioner.

CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS : Consult a health-care practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or breast-feeding; if you are constipated, anaemic, or malnourished; or if you have hormone-sensitive conditions, such as breast, uterine or ovarian cancer, endometriosis, or uterine fibroids. Consult a health-care practitioner if symptoms worsen. Inform your pre- or postnatal health-care practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Do not use if you have a history of precipitate labour.

CONTRAINDICATIONS : Do not take if you are in the first two trimesters of pregnancy (up to week 32).

KNOWN ADVERSE REACTIONS : May stimulate uterine contractions.
