Wormwood Tincture 100 mL

New Roots Herbal’s Wormwood Tincture is a liquid extract made from true Artemisia absinthium, the authentic wormwood, and not a substitute species. It is traditionally used in herbal medicine as a vermifuge for pinworms (also called threadworms) and roundworms, and as a bitter tonic to enhance digestion. With age-specific dosing from age 2+, one bottle could serve the whole family.

DIRECTIONS OF USE
For use as a vermifuge for children: Take on an empty stomach.
For use as a bitter tonic and to enhance digestion: Take 30 minutes before meals.
Children 2–4 years old: Take 1/6 teaspoon (35 drops / 0.833 ml) three times daily.*
Children 5–9 years old: Take ¼ teaspoon (1.25 ml) three times daily.*
Adolescents 10–14 years old: Take ½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) three times daily.*
Adolescents 15 years+/Adults: Take 1 teaspoon (5 ml) three times daily.*

* Or as directed by your health-care practitioner.

MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS
Each teaspoon (5 ml) contains a crude quantity equivalent of:
Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) herb  1,000 mg

NON-MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS
Organic alcohol 25% (from sugarcane) and purified water.

WARNINGS
Contains no: Gluten, soy, wheat, corn, eggs, dairy, yeast, citrus, preservatives, artificial flavour or colour, or starch.

Cautions and warnings: Stop use immediately and consult a health-care practitioner if you experience nausea, stomach pain, pale stools, dark urine, itching (all over) or yellowing of the eyes or skin, as these may be signs of liver harm. Consult a health-care practitioner prior to use if you develop symptoms of liver trouble, or if you have gallstones or other biliary disorders. Consult a health-care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen.

Contraindications: Do not use if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, if you have a liver disorder, or if you have an obstruction or inflammation of the bile duct.

Known adverse reactions: Hypersensitivity/allergy has been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use. May cause gastric upset, dizziness, or headache; in which case, discontinue use and consult a health-care practitioner. Rare cases of allergic reactions have been known to occur; use caution if you are allergic to plants of the daisy family.
