ADR Formula 60 Capsules

ADR Formula® combines whole adrenal and adrenal cortex with a blend of herbs traditionally used in Herbal Medicine, plus pantothenic acid and vitamin C. Eleuthero helps the body respond to mental and physical stress by regulating adrenal hormone function, namely corticosterone. Similarly, Panax ginseng has long been utilized to assist the body in adapting to its environment by enhancing endurance in cases of stress. During prolonged physical stress, such as exercise, Panax ginseng promotes endurance and stamina by sparing carbohydrates and allowing skeletal muscle to oxidize free fatty acids for energy production. This versatile herb also helps the body adapt to stress by mediating the levels of certain adrenal hormones, most notably corticosterone. In addition, Panax ginseng is used in Herbal Medicine as a supportive therapy for the promotion of healthy glucose levels, which can be elevated during stress by the increased activity of adrenal hormones such as cortisol and epinephrine. Licorice extract is also included to help relieve inflammatory conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, soothing mucus membranes as a demulcent. Licorice is also traditionally used in Herbal Medicine as an expectorant to help relieve chest complaints, such as catarrhs, coughs and bronchitis.

HOW TO USE

• Recommended Use: Used in Herbal Medicine to help support cognitive function and reduce mental fatigue in cases of mental stress. Used in Herbal Medicine to help enhance physical performance in cases of physical stress.
• Recommended Dose: Adults: Take 1 capsule daily between meals, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Consult a healthcare practitioner for use beyond 1 month.

• Medicinal Ingredients (per capsule): Asian ginseng extract (Panax ginseng) (root) 200 mg (4:1; 800 mg dried equivalent) (5% ginsenosides), Bovine (Bos taurus) (Adrenal gland) 150 mg, Eleuthero extract (Eleutherococcus senticosus) (root) 100 mg (10 – 12:1; 1000 – 1200 mg dried equivalent; 0.8% eleutherosides), Licorice extract (Glycyrrhiza glabra) (root) 100 mg (15:1; 1500 mg dried equivalent; 20% glycyrrhizin), Pantothenic Acid (Calcium d-pantothenate) 100 mg, Bovine (Bos taurus) (Adrenal cortex) 75 mg, Vitamin C (Ascorbyl palmitate) 6.37 mg.
• Non-medicinal Ingredients: Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, Purified water

CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS 

• Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; if you are taking antidepressant medications, blood thinners or digoxin; if you have any type of acute infection, diabetes or liver disorder. Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen.
• Contraindications: Do not use if you are taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives or other medications which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance; or if you have hypokalemia, high blood pressure, or a kidney or cardiovascular disorder.
• Known Adverse Reactions: Some people may experience insomnia, anxiety, or headaches, in which case, discontinue use.
