Product Details

Folate is vitamin B9, a water-soluble vitamin that plays a key role in DNA and RNA synthesis, red blood cell production, the metabolism of proteins, and healthy genetic expression.

The body needs folate but can’t synthesize it on its own and as such, must be consumed from foods or dietary supplements. Lifestyle, diet and some medications and diseases can deplete the body’s folate supply. BioFolate™ contains L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (L-5-MTHF), a methylated form of folate.

USES

Folate helps to form red blood cells and helps prevent folate deficiency. Folate helps to reduce the risk of neural tube defects when taken daily at least three months prior to becoming pregnant and during early pregnancy. It also helps to support normal early fetal development (brain and spinal cord). Helps to maintain the body's ability to metabolize nutrients. Helps on energy metabolism in the body. helps in the normal function of the immune system.
