Probiotic supplement to support the infant immune system
HMF® Baby Immune probiotic provides 10 billion CFU of the clinically studied strain, Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis (NCC2818), which not only supports gastrointestinal health but has been shown to support the infant immune system. Infants are born with a sterile gut but quickly obtain initial colonizing bacteria from their environment within the first few days of life. The assembly of a healthy microbiota depends on multiple factors including delivery method, type of feeding, early use of antibiotics, and environmental factors. This microbial environment is an integral part of their immune system.
Breastfed infants have been found to have a lower incidence of infection and gastrointestinal disturbances. Bifidobacteria is the dominant strain in the established microbiota of healthy breastfed infants and thought to be a contributing factor to the benefits observed. Multiple studies have demonstrated that infants consuming the strain of probiotics found in HMF® Baby Immune daily for the first 8-12 months of life experienced a reduction in the incidence of upper respiratory tract infection symptoms. In addition, use of this strain has been shown to significantly increase various markers of immune system function. HMF® Baby Immune is a dairy-free, soy-free and gluten-free probiotic in a convenient powder format providing infant immune and gastrointestinal support.
HOW TO USE
Infants and Toddlers (0 to 36 months old): Take 1 level scoop daily, at least 2-3 hours before or after antibiotics, or as recommended by your healthcare practitioner.
Preparation instructions for adults:
1. Wash your hands thoroughly.
2. Measure 30 mL (2 tablespoons) of water and pour into sterilized bottle.
3. Using the enclosed scoop, add 1 level scoop of powder to water.
4. Shake well until powder is dissolved.
5. Feed to infant immediately. After feeding, any HMF® Baby Immune solution not consumed within 1 hour should be discarded.
