Gut Repair 90 caps

There’s a lot of important activity occurring in the gut at all times. Over 70% of the immune system resides in the gut, with the intestinal lining acting as its first line of defence. Our intestinal lining is thin and semi-permeable, which means that it’s able to release nutrients from food into the bloodstream, while simultaneously keeping harmful pathogens out. The thinness of our intestinal walls is convenient for nutrient absorption but also makes it more prone to damage. This damage can occur due to chronic stress, poor diet, genetics, or infections like H. pylori. Damage to the intestinal walls can lead to more serious digestive issues and even a weakened immune system.

Colostrum is a substance produced by mammals that appears in the first breast milk fed to a newborn. It plays a critical role in developing bodily functions, but when taken supplementally, can also positively impact gut and immune health. Bovine colostrum is similar to colostrum produced by humans and is rich in nutrients like carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, pathogen-fighting proteins, and digestive enzymes. Its supplemental health benefits are primarily linked to the presence of proline-rich polypeptides which are beneficial for quelling digestive inflammation, allowing the intestinal lining to heal.

Calendula is a flowering plant traditionally used in herbal medicine to aid inflammation. This plant has various antifungal, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties, which can be beneficial for preventing infection and healing tissue injuries, such as a damaged intestinal lining.

CanPrev’s Gut Repair provides 400mg of bovine colostrum alongside calendula extract to help relieve inflammatory conditions of the digestive system and in doing so, support the immune system.
